WhatsApp supports message forwarding, strengthening Communities

WhatsApp supports message forwarding,   strengthening Communities

One of the top social media apps for Android, WhatsApp has recently concentrated on creating Communities, a feature that allows for huge group conversations akin to those on Telegram. WhatsApp Communities provide a variety of channels that serve as discussion forums for issues pertaining to the community. Now that channel messages may be sent to ordinary chats with your friends and family, WhatsApp is making a huge step toward popularizing Communities among the general public.

We recently observed the developers beta testing new description screens for Communities, along with an example introducing users to the new place. Evidently, WhatsApp's Communities addition didn't take off with the vigor Meta was expecting. One may attribute the delayed acceptance to Communities' restricted global availability, but the beta channel just expanded to seven new locations. WaBetaInfo saw WhatsApp advertising the beta test enabling conversation forwarding from community channels, directly to people in your contact lists and groups you are a member of, in an effort to maybe increase its popularity where it is available.

The beta test for message forwarding from channels has been announced by WhatsApp.

The purpose is to introduce the new feature to a sizable portion of users by enticing them to check out the channel and possibly join it or any other community to which they are invited. You can forward from a channel as a community member with access to message forwarding in beta just like you would any other message.

However, if the community is open to the public, the message will encourage recipients to visit it by including a View Channel button underneath. People without access to the WhatsApp channel, similar to Telegram shares, can view the content of a shared or forwarded message, but they won't be able to view the channel if it isn't available in their area.

Like regular messages, forwarding is restricted to five chats at once, though you can simultaneously transmit updates across several channels. Additionally, the normal Forwarded label will be included at the top of all forwarded mails.
